Ten Favorite Wedding First Dance Songs

Picking your first dance song is either going to start out in one of two ways. You have those couples who know exactly what song is perfect for them when the subject comes up. Boom, mic drop, check in that box. Or you have those couples who have absolutely no idea where to start looking for a song to dance to out of the millions of songs in the world. I can help with that! When I first wrote out the title to this blog, it read “Five Favorite Wedding First Dance Songs” as if I thought I could narrow my list down to 5 songs. Silly me! I decided to go with 10, and even that was a challenge. There are so many amazing love songs out in the music world today it’s hard to create a “top 10” list, so that’s why this post is more accurately named “Ten Favorite Wedding First Dance Songs”.

Bring up that Spotify app or Apple Music or YouTube and play each one of these songs… more than once! Listen to the lyrics. Feel the beat. Can you see yourselves moving to the music? Is it too fast or too slow? Does it feel too country? (Because let’s be real – the most common type of love song is a country love song.) Or maybe it’s not country enough… try Die A Happy Man by Thomas Rhett, Then by Brad Paisley, or Better Together by Luke Combs for even more of a country feel.

I am not kidding when I tell you it took everything in my power not to create a list of 50 of my favorite first dance songs because I totally could have done it! But I didn’t want to overwhelm this post and you, as the reader, making the decision of choosing that one special song even harder.
